Fundamentals of Lomi Lomi
with Jackie Kapua Tyler, LMT and Jeanna Nalulai,

Lomi Lomi is a nurturing, Hawaiian healing art form that has been passed
down from generation to generation. In this course you will learn
a full-body Lomi Lomi massage technique incorporating forearm work,
body mechanics, movement of circulation and assessment/treatment
of general musculoskeletal dysfunction. This work is deeply rooted
in traditional Hawaiian culture, philosophy, spirituality and Aloha.
Learn how this ancient technique and its concepts are not only effective
but highly relevant in our modern lives.

Jackie "Kapua" Tyler, LMT is a lomi lomi practitioner
since 1988 having studied with various lomi instructors since 1995,
a student of Dr. Maka'ala Yates, DC, who has developed a unique therapeutic
lomi approach. She currently assists Dr. Yates with his classes and
also shares this art with students at the Maui Academy of Healing Arts
School of Massage.
Jeanna Nalulai is a native Hawaiian committed to perpetuating
her culture through the healing art form. She received a Bachelor's
degree in Natural Science and a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from
Loma Linda University. She specializes in Lomi Lomi and has a private
practice in Kihei.
